FAQ

1. Is there a limit to the number of files/folders that can be protected in the full version?

ans. There is no limit. You can password protect as many files/folders as you wish.

2. Can files/folders located on external, removable drives be protected by My Data Lock?

ans. Yes. You can lock/unlock your files/folders located on external, removable drives.

3. Is there a limit to the folder size?

ans. You cannot lock files/folders larger than 4 GB located on a volume that uses the FAT file system. Reasons? My Data Lock saves the folders contents to a locked file. The largest file that can exist on Fat32 (Windows 9x/Me) is 4 GB.

ans. Yes. It still be hidden and encrypted even though you uninstall My Data Lock.

ans. Unfortunately, My Data Lock cannot protect the drive. The program can lock files/folders on the drive as it was designed to protect confidential data like financial documents and files containing personal information.
